Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Easter
“Holy Week” is this year from April 13th (Palm Sunday) to April 20th (Easter). What is our attitude towards Christ? Jesus was coming on PALM SUNDAY to enter Jerusalem. And today? Are we permitting Him to enter our hearts? Jesus seeks to enter our hearts, to find fruit, such as a living faith, obedience to the gospel in all situations of life but also love which is shown in our serving and sacrifices. Then growth of the new creation becomes evident.
With His sacrificial death, Jesus has brought eternal salvation to mankind. He cried out with a loud voice (Matthew 27:50-52) a cry to God on GOOD FRIDAY expressing the suffering of all mankind. The sacrificial death of Christ is of outstanding significance and changes everything. Crucifixion and death are to be seen as the victory of God.
With EASTER, the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, we associate the comforting thought that everything will also change for us at our “resurrection” signifying that we will live in perfect fellowship with the triune God in a spiritual body. “And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power” (1. Corinthians 6:14)
Have a blessed and inspired Holy Week. HAPPY EASTER to all.
