The District Elder Marcena, responsible for pastoral care in the northern Luzon area,  organized this year’s Youth and Family Day in Bauang, La Union. A delegation of Youth from Makati joined the weekend of sharing, fellowship, word and sacrament as well. Special guests came from Indonesia, Apostles Edy Isnugroho, Samuel Hadiwidagdo as well as Bishop Samuel Tansahtikno. While all had fun at the beach the District Apostle gathered the ministers and wives for an informal discussion on

“I am”: Jesus knew who He was and could clearly say” I am…..the bread of life, light of the world, the door, the good shepherd, the resurrection and life, the way and the truth, the life, the true wine. We are His children, His disciples and the future bride of Christ. Can we always position ourselves accordingly in daily life?

The youth from different subdistrict filled the Saturday evening with various presentations, sketches and renditions of hymns and on Sunday the sermon was based on bible text of Psalm 34:2 and Jeremiah 9:24.

We praise and glorify God and thereby make Him known to others. Yet we have to know and understand Him ourselves first.
