As in many countries around the world the Youth of the Manila congregation MAKATI has a busy program of activities, get togethers, seminars and fellowships. They report at youth.ph but publish also a newsletter called “youth link” The subject they focus on are very diversified. Get togethers for bonding, discussion groups on nutrition and fitness, workshops making spiritual comic strips and even a social project, a clothing drive for the less fortunate in cooperation with the Kitchener congregation in Canada. Truly a wonderful proactive program to experience JOYinCHRIST.

The Youth Link edition for the first quarter 2015 features a  Youth who  can also be very serious with great spirituality. We just read about The Manila American WW2 Cemetery, which they visited in preparation of the last divine service for the departed. Each one got an assignment to find a name on the wall of the memorial and to collect online information on such person, to pray for their souls. Included were also those of whom not much information was available. What a wonderful way to use ones skills of surfing the internet for a meaningful purpose. God wants all souls to be saved and has various ways and tools to have them prayed for. (pictures at www.youth.ph).
