All Saints’ Day all Souls’ Day
The Christian celebration of All Saints Day and All Souls Day stems from a belief that there is a powerful spiritual bond between those in heaven and the living and is celebrated in the Philippines by family reunions on cemeteries. November 1 and 2 are National Holiday.
The New Apostolic church has a distinct doctrine on souls salvation for the ones in the realm of the departed based on the concept that God wants all souls to be saved meaning to come near and close to Him. 3 Services with Sacraments for the Departed are offered during the year, the last one coincides with All Saints’. and All Souls’ celebration in the country.
At Makati Church the sermon in the Divine Service for the departed was based on a reading of Jude 20-21,
But you beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life
Salvation is based for all souls, regardless wether on earth or in the beyond on FAITH and GRACE. Faith must grow to come near the Lord and eventually have eternal fellowship with God. This growth is shown in our love, our hope and the content of our prayers
