Bishop Juanito Bacane retired
The wheel of time is turning in the Philippines. Sunday 21st January 2018 Bishop Bacane retired in a divine Service where over 800 members from his district gathered in the city of Bais/Negros Oriental. 30 years of service in the ministry, ever since 1999 as Bishop assisting the Apostle Catan.
The District Apostle extended the greetings and best wishes of the Chief Apostle and said: “so many years you served and it was for sure not always an easy work but you remained faithful to your sending by Christ and see now the fruit. The Lord made you prosper. He entrusted many souls into your care and many came today. The mandate is no more, the burden is lighter but with the capacity of the Bishops ministry please continue to pray, help souls in need of strength, bring comfort and be a good example to the younger generation”
The sermon was based on 2. Tim. 2:11-13. Faithful to Christ, follow Him all the way, be where He is. Live and act as you would see Him constantly at your sideā¦.despite adversity.
On Saturday the Rectors gathered at the Dumaguete Church for deliberation of many a subject concerning the understanding of commission and mission. Youth presented music, choir, drama and dance much to the enjoyment of all.
All Apostles were present, because Monday they continue their work in the National Council of the NAC Philippines (NCNACP) first meeting 2018
