Active and very colorful was the Youth fellowship at the FREE METHODIST CAMPGROUND. Youth groups from the whole Caraga Region and delegates from as

far as South Cotabato have followed the invitation of Apostle Leonilo Desoloc and enjoyed the day together. However there were other events during this weekend. The District Apostle dedicated a chapel in nearby Brgy Sanghan. All Evangelists gathered for  a lecture on “Messenger of joy – clear and understandable proclamation of the word” a subject from the theme “understanding ministry”.

DEv and Sr. Renato Aleman and Ev. and Sr. Amarille celebrated their silver wedding anniversary. DEls. Siarot and Mongado received official retirement however due to severe health reasons could not attend. Nathaniel Apolinario was ordained District Elder to assist the Apostle and head the team of District Evangelists. Lastly a young couple received the blessing on their engagement.

The divine service was based on 2. Corinthians 4:7. Our treasure, the gospel, in earthen vessels, to keep and to share.

The work in the Surigao and Agusan area had its beginning with the late Ap. Apolinario Aleman. The congregations reach out to the mountains and rural areas still today inhabited by tribes.  An enthusiastic Youth is vibrant and active. They will be the church of the future. Pastoral responsibility is in the hands of Apostle Desoloc.
