District Apostle Edy Isnugroho in Bohol
Annual Meeting NACSEARelief, Apostles and Bishops Meeting, an evening of contemplation at our Tagbilaran Church and then the Divine Service for the Departed on Sunday morning. It was a full program for the District Apostle. He continues his travel with visits to congregations in the interior.
The DA in retirement addressed the congregation in the hour of contemplation in preparation for the Sunday Service, referring to the pioneers who founded the Church in the Philippines almost 50 years ago. DEl Pache who just passed away, but also the first visiting Apostle, Erwin Wagner. Remembered were also the many victims of natural disasters, thousands who died in sinking ships and on battle fields.
The message in the divine service by DA Edy Isnugroho focused on Psalm 145: 18-19.
“The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them”
Misfortune often prompts the question. Why did God permit such? We do not want to have answers to such but we are encouraged to help by our love to our neighbour. To obtain salvation one must give up to seek understanding to everything happening but just humble oneself before the Creator. It is God fear which is the prerequisite for each ones salvation.
