Philippine Apostles in Phnom Penh, Cambodia November 19-22, 2015

On Monday, 23rd of November 2015

All our Apostles joined the Regional Meeting of Apostles in Phnom Penh.  Over 40 men carrying this ministry, from India and Pakistan, even as far Australia and Papua New Guinea  came  to Cambodia to share with the Chief Apostle precious moments of fellowship, deliberations and lectures. A  visit was made to the Genocidal Memorials, the Killing fields and old concentration camps turned into a reality museum to remember the forced evacuations of millions of victims, tortured and killed during the darkest years of Cambodia’s history. A deep impression was made on our souls and one Apostle from China stated:

“it shows a dark side in humanity” Of course everybody was thinking silently, that such evil spirits  in one way or another are still active today. The Chief Apostle mused:

Is forgiveness possible? Can one who suffered so severely  forgive? It can only be the effort, the willingness to do so,  which counts

Then followed the  official meeting. The Chief Apostle elaborated on various aspects of spiritual leadership in Asia.

Do as Jesus did. He was a Prophet, a Priest and a King. As His ambassador, we must do His work. As prophets we proclaim the will of God. Tell and explain in light of the present and past as well as the future. Priests glorify and worship God, intercede and bring a sacrifice of reconciliation. Jesus was a humble King but with authority.

His ambassadors are expected to announce the law of the King with humbleness but authority the Chief Apostle commented and quoted Philippians 1:27

Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ…..stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel

Various Apostles were called to present SWOT analysis on their country. For the Philippines this was done by Apostle S. Catan from Dumaguete. Many differences, mostly in culture and tradition,  were obvious but much of contemporary problems are the same. Social changes,  and the need for educating the youth and ministry.

Sunday was the great day, highlighted by the Divine Service in our Phnom Penh Church. Acts 4:31. The 2 first local Apostles working in Cambodia retired along with 7 others from India and Pakistan. (nac.today will come up with more news on the Chief Apostle’s visit to Cambodia)
