Philippine Island Kids Foundation Inc

NACSEARelief has embarked in a mutual project with Philippine Island Kids Foundation Inc  to provide Housing for 36 families in Barangay Labrador,  who became homeless by Typhoon Yolanda. “The homes are build employing a ’bayanihan’ approach promoted by the local Pastor Gregorio Macsalay”  Thomas Kellenberger, founding President of PIKIFI explained. District Apostle Urs Hebeisen of the New Apostolic Church , President of NACSEARelief, said: “for us this is a project of true Christian interdenominational cooperation, addressing human needs from a christian understanding”  Groundbreaking took place on 15. August 2014. The project includes a multipurpose hall for use of Christian worship and educational programs and is financed by “NAK-humanitas of Switzerland” a charity organisation of the New Apostolic Church of Switzerland.

 

In other developments NACSEARelief could turn over two rebuilt school-buildings in Lavezares, Northern Samar on August 13, 2014. Marlene Datario and Mabelle Bagtas met Vice Mayor Turla as well the School Principals Ms Irma Parina and Mrs Raquel Martirez and officially turned over the building, housing 2 classes each and accommodating a total of 649 children up to Grade 6. (full report attached). The buildings are completely equipped with furnishings, toilets and washing area including water-tank. Needles to say the children and parents were very pleased and celebrated the event with a rendition of the song “Impossible Dream”. A teacher commented: “truly and impossible dream has become true”.  The project was initiated by retired Swiss Consul Juerg Casserini and for the procurement responsible signed YES MOVE an advocacy group under the office of Mayor. Financing was provided by NAK-humanitas”
