Scary Christmas in Bicol Region

On Wednesday, 28th of December 2016
Christmas day, the most celebrated and most beautiful day in every Filipino family, became a nightmare for the people in Bicol. “Typhoon ‘Nina’ spoils Christmas was the headline of a daily newspaper on 26th December morning. Indeed 186 000 were evacuated in Bicol alone. This on Christmas day, when Church and home are the most important location for our people. Instead the churches were without roof and the homes washed away or destroyed. But many  on their way home were also  stranded in Bus terminals, airports and seaports and family reunions and feasting o Christmas had to be cancelled for thousands of Filipinos. Nina (international name Nock-ten) barrelled through the Bicol region with maximum sustained winds of 185 kph and gustiness of up to 255 kph.

We will organise immediate help and rebuilding of houses and churches will follow. Mabelle confirmed upon inquiry.
