Succession Planing, vision for the Future
Our Depok Church in Indonesia was again host of the annual NACSEAsia Convention. All Apostles, Bishops, Country Rectors and Administration Executives met from 20th to 22nd January for deliberations on various subjects such as concept of ministry, update on resolutions DAMI and succession planing.
Central theme was: ‘OUR ONENESS – GLORY TO GOD OUR FATHER’ which was further elaborated in a divine service for Ministers and wives based on the bible quotation “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one” (Jn 17: 22)
The divine service on Sunday morning was attended by some 8000 souls reached all over Indonesia by satellite transmission. WIth a bible reading from Matthew 7:21 the District Apostle emphasised that we glorify God with our love and obedience to His commandments. Not our good deeds, or praising the Lord in an outward manner bring us close to Him. But our inner attitude, our commitment to do His will and follow His path. This was how Jesus did glorify His Father. Each one of us shall examine himself how he praises the Lord.
With great anticipation everybody waited for the announcement of the future plan for NACSEAsia. The District Apostle pointed out that succession planning is not just a matter of appointing a new generation of leaders. It needs long term thinking and often also restructuring is needed. His own retirement in view for later 2018 plans are now made as follows:
At the occasion of the Chief Apostle visit on 21st May 2017 Apostle Edy Isnugroho will be commissioned as District Apostle Helper. District Elder Rumantiyo shall be entrusted with the Apostles ministry for Sumatera.
Bh Samuel Tansahtikno will move to the Philippines and become a resident in Makati City and work himself into the task of future National District Rector Philippines. His pastoral responsibility as Bishop will be the whole island of Luzon.
Last but no least the Apostle Domingo Diagbel, who after 31 years serving as Apostle shall be granted the well deserved retirement in a divine service at Tilling Central church Negros Occidental Philippines on May 14 . As successor the Chief Apostle will ordain District Elder Joan Beliot.
We support these changes with our prayers especially also for the chosen men.
